In reality it is "Quench-Crackled Dyed Quartz", i.e. quartz that, after heating, has been rapidly cooled in a cold liquid, causing the structure to break, and it is possible to inject a dye, in this case a green color, into the stone to imitate Smaragd. Anyone interested in gemstones should recognize this method because quartz can be dyed practically any color. Green coloring is common because a genuine Emerald naturally contains cracks and inclusions. But the coloring is easy to notice when you know what to look at, at the right angle against a clear background it is easy to notice that color, and the dye is only in the internal cracks of the stone, otherwise the stone is colorless even from other viewing angles.
