Beautifully colored large Cubic Zirconia (CZ) 19.39ct

A large, finely colored Emerald Green Cubic Zirconia (CZ) gemstone. CZ is always synthetic, it does not occur in nature. Cubic Zirconia is often used as an imitation of other, more valuable gemstones, for example Diamond, Sapphire, Emerald and Tanzanite. But CZ is a fine gem in its own right, on its own merits. CZ is a remarkably heavy mineral, the specific gravity is about 6, which makes it clearly heavier than all common gemstones. CZ is also very transparent, i.e. "clear", and it has a strong "fire", i.e. a flash of different colors created by the dispersion of light, which can be seen especially in colorless and lighter stones as a strong flash of different colors when turning the stone. And CZ is also a very hard mineral, with a Mohs scale of 8-8.5, which makes it a good and durable gemstone for everyday use.
